I began the first episode of Yuru Camp last night along with a few others that have finally started for the winter season.
This show looks both tranquil and stunning!
The episode started off with Rin who enjoys camping by herself near a lake where it is easy to see Mt Fuji. She sees a sleeping girl on a bench (in winter I might add) whilst making her way up to set up camp for the day. She sees this girl multiple times (in multiple different sleeping positions) and chooses to brush it off and carry on getting up her camp and collecting firewood. It begins to get dark and the sleeping girl named Nadeshiko finally wakes up in a blind panic and rushes to Rin for help telling her she had just moved to the area and had ended up near the campsite by riding her bike but had to stop part way to her destination and fell asleep. They end up sharing cup noodles together on Rin’s campsite before Nadeshiko’s sister comes and picks her up. The episode ends with Nadeshiko giving Rin her phone number and then briefly missing each other at school.
This show just screams cozy! Makes me want to go camping!
I have to say after only watching the first episode I am already quite excited to see what comes next. This show looks so lovely and pretty relaxing. Sometimes all I want is chilled out anime as I get exhausted watching anime with an important plot where you have to give your full attention. From the looks of it Yuru Camp or Laid-Back Camp looks like it’s going to be a really calm, relaxing time full of cute girls, beautiful scenery and small but lovely moments shared between friends. I have found often that the most unimportant things like sharing food together in a cozy situation can be the most memorable moments in life and I think this show will do that idea justice. I cannot wait to see the next episode!

A Nerdy Perspective 
Interesting setup. I don’t know ho much time I’ll have for seasonal shows, but this looks like something I’ll check out.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to watch this initially, mostly because I’m not a camping person, lol. But after reading your thoughts on the first episode, I think it’s worth checking out. I do love shows that just allow for a kick-back and relaxing watching experience.

I’m not a camping person either actually (although the show made me start to think it actually sounds quite nice). I’m glad my thoughts on the show changed your mind! I think it’s definitely worth checking out if you want something to relax and not think about too much! 😊
