Autumn 2019: What I’ll be Watching

It is that time once again where I discuss what I’ll be watching for the next season of anime. This season is jam packed full of sequels. Seriously, the most anticipated anime for autumn includes sequels to Food Wars, Sword Art Online, Psycho Pass and My Hero Academia. Autumn 2019 doesn’t seem to have a lot of room for up and coming anime but nonetheless I’ve browsed the lineup and have found a few new shows which have peaked my interest.

My Hero Academia Season 4

My Hero Academia season 4

Okay, this isn’t a new anime but I just couldn’t help myself. The highly anticipated forth season of My Hero Academia is sure to be on most peoples watchlists for autumn. Season four follows Deku and a few of his other classmates as they undertake internships with various heroes. As I have caught up on the My Hero Academia manga, I am both excited and nervous to see what season four will offer fans. I think it’ll be a really intense season in terms of action and story and I cannot wait. The hype is real!

Beastars

Beastars Anime

Beastars is a Netflix exclusive anime which will be airing this season and is one I have high hopes for. The anime is set in a world in which animals live instead of humans. The animals within the world of Beastars have both animalistic and humanistic like traits which serve them through their day to day lives. Beastars gives me big Zootopia/Zootropolis vibes and I’m here for it. I’m really interested to see where this anime goes in terms of its story and character development as I have heard good things about the source material.

No Guns Life

No Gun Life

I had to include No Guns Life on my list for this season because of how beautifully bizarre the series sounds. The anime follows an ex-solider named Juuzou Inui who is looking for answers on his previous life. He currently lives with no knowledge of his previous life before the war and has no knowledge as to why he has been turned into a cyborg with a gun for a head. No Guns Life just sounds too ridiculous to pass up in all honesty as I’m curious to see a walking, talking gun headed protagonist. I think it’ll make for an entertaining watch this season.

Kabukichou Sherlock

Kabukichou Sherlock anime

Kabukichou Sherlock is a mishmashed story of comedy, drama and suspense. In the East side of the Shinjuku Ward sits Kabukichou, a place filled with chaos where the lights shine bright but the shadows conceal much of its darkness. One night, a bizarre murder takes place within Kabukichou and kickstarts this crazy anime. When looking at the promotional art accompanied by the synopsis, I get big Durarara vibes from Kabukichou Sherlock which means I’m already pretty excited to see what this anime has in store for me. If this runs along the lines of anime like Durarara then I’m sure I’ll love it and the fact that it is a mixture between drama, comedy and suspense makes me even more hyped for it.

Until next time thanks for reading and I hope you’re having a great day!
