Autumn is here in full swing and all of the anime for autumn 2020 is finally beginning to release. It has been a hot minute since I have written about what I’ll be watching for the upcoming season but I can say I am more than thrilled to be discussing all the autumn anime. There are so many old favourites coming back to our screens as well as some exciting newcomers to try out. Below include a few I particularly have my eye on for this season!
Osomatsu-san Season 3

To start off this post, I have to talk about a beloved favourite of mine, Osomatsu-san. The sextuplets are coming back for a third season which I was not expecting but I cannot wait to welcome these six neets back into my life again. While there isn’t much to say in terms of story, I’m sure season three will bring plenty of new antics from the boys and personally I can never get enough of them.
Golden Kamuy Season 3

Golden Kamuy is back baby! I was rather surprised when this was first announced as I wasn’t sure we’d see another season to continue Sugimoto and Asirpa’s adventure. This third season will follow Asirpa’s journey towards the Russian border in order to discover more about her father’s connection to the coded tattoos whilst Sugimoto searches to find and protect Asirpa. I cannot wait to see where the story goes next and I’m excited to reunite with these characters once again.
Is the Order a Rabbit? Bloom Season 3

This is the season of season threes apparently, as the incredibly adorable Is the Order a Rabbit makes an appearance for autumn 2020. This is definitely going to be the cozy anime for me this season as slice of life, adorable characters and a coffee shop setting is simply perfect for fall.
Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle

When I saw the original multimedia project for Hypnosis Mic popping up across the internet some time ago, I knew it was only a matter of time before we got an anime adaptation and it has finally arrived. The anime series follows boy groups who fight one another through the power of rap battles using hypnosis mics which can influence people’s thoughts and sympathies. Whilst I’m not the biggest fan of the rap genre, I am an avid music lover and enjoy music orientated anime. Very excited to try out this series, meet all the cute boys and pick a favourite.
Jujutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen feels like an anime which has had quite a bit of buzz surrounding it since its announcement. Adapted from the Shonen Jump series, Jujutsu Kaisen follows Itadori Yuji who has incredible physical strength. Yuji lives in a world where all negative feelings can become curses that lie within the shadows of everyday lives. One day in order to save his friend from being attacked by Curses, Yuji decides to take on the Curse himself by eating the finger of the Double-Faced Spector and so he begins to share his body with the Double-Faced Spector. I have a feeling this could be a fan favourite of the season and I think it is going to be a fun, possibly creepy and action-packed series for the fall.
Demon Slayer – Kimetsu No Yaiba: Mugen Train

The Demon Slayer movie is probably one of the most anticipated anime of the season and for good reason too. This film, which follows on from season one, will cover the Infinity Train arc and as someone who has read the manga I know it is going to be a great film. I’m excited to see the characters animated once again with their beautiful designs in action but, oh boy this movie is going to hit me right in the feels.
Burn The Witch

Burn The Witch is one I am intrigued to check out this season. I read the original one-shot manga which Tite Kubo (Bleach) released back in 2018 and I cannot say I was overly impressed but I definitely saw the potential. The film follows the witch duo Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole who are agents of Wing Bind, an organisation dedicated to the conservation and management of Dragons throughout the London area. Their mission is to protect and manage the dragons within the city. Hopefully, it’ll be a fun watch!
Thanks for reading! I hope you have a wonderful day!
I’m really excited for Burn the Witch as well! It sounds right up my alley somehow and I can’t wait to watch it! This list is so great and has so many shows I want to start but I’m pretty new to loving anime so I’m hoping to work my way through my list slowly!
I was really looking forward to Haikyuu’s 4th season this October, but the way that’s going is super disappointing.
I hope you enjoy these ones!

Aww thank you, I’m glad you like my list 😄 and yes I’ve been there so I get you with working through the ever growing list of anime haha! I’m only half way through the first part for season 4 but fingers crossed it doesn’t disappoint.
Thank you and thanks for reading 😁

Is the Order a Rabbit is so much fun to watch and one of my favorite slice of life series. I’m really excited for it’s return. Glad to see someone else excited for it’s return as it’s not a show you see talked about a lot.

Yes, same here. I was over the moon when I saw the announcement for season 3 because it is just such a sweet and fun little anime! You’re right though, I hardly ever see people talk about it which is such a shame since it’s a lovely little slice of life! 😁

It really is a lovely series. The characters are great and it just makes you feel good after watching it. Something we all need right now. They did an OVA film that I would love to see but it never got licensed outside of Japan. I would love to see that as well.

Yes, most definitely! And yeah I remember adding it to my plan to watch list in hopes we’d get it over here but sadly not. Maybe one day!

There’s an anime out about rap battles? Wow, that’s certainly unique. I also wasn’t aware that Tite Kubo had another work adapted into anime.

Yeah it has been a musical project for some time which in itself I feel is unique so having it come to life in anime form seems like it is gonna be fun. And yeah, I only found out a couple months back when I read the one shot manga!

I see. I wasn’t aware of that musical project or manga, so this is all new to me. Very unique concept nonetheless.
