It has been quite a while since I have shared my thoughts on the upcoming season of anime and I can honestly say I’ve missed doing these posts and I’m excited to get back into them! The year has flown by so quickly and I cannot believe we are already going into autumn! The autumn season has some anime I’m pretty hyped about so without further ado, let’s get into what I’ll be watching this autumn.
Komi Can’t Communicate

Shouko Komi is the beauty and mysterious princess of her class. All are in awe of her and her looks and demeanour but in actuality, Komi is extremely awkward and struggles to cope within social situations. One day a boy in her class named Hitohito Tadano finds himself all alone with the mysterious Komi. He quickly learns Komi’s secret and vows to aid in her quest to make 100 friends.
Komi Can’t Communicate is a series I have just been waiting to see an anime adaption of and it’s finally here! I have high hopes for the anime as I think Komi’s awkward antics will translate hilariously from paper to TV screen. I love the art style of this series and am excited to see how it translates to an anime form. Komi Can’t Communicate will make for a fun and cozy watch this autumn and I simply can’t wait.
Blue Period

Yatora Yaguchi is a fairly popular, well behaved student. He gets good grades and hangs out with his friends but he doesn’t actually enjoy his life and feels utterly disillusioned with everything. That is until he discovers a passion for art and painting and his life takes on a whole new meaning.
I hadn’t really heard much about Blue Period until I looked into it to make this very blog post! The moment I read the synopsis and learned that it would be an anime about art and painting I immediately added it to my watch list. As someone who is currently trying to grow their own art skills I feel like this is such a perfect match for where I am in life right now! I cannot wait to dive into this series when it drops on Netflix.
Mieruko-chan

Miko Yotsuya has gained a rather unfortunate ability, she can see horrifying monsters which no one else but her can see. Miko chooses not to face these grotesque creatures. She won’t fight them or even acknowledge them. Instead, she tries to go about her daily life just ignoring them and their entire existence.
Mieruko-chan has been a series on my radar for some time as the premise of the series sounded like something I would really enjoy. I picked up the first volume of the manga a couple of months back and while I am yet to actually sit down and read it, I am highly anticipating the series in both its anime and manga formats. Mixing the slice of life genre up with some gruesome horror elements sounds like it will make for a delectably dark and twisted anime perfect for spooky season!
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Entertainment District Arc

The second season of Demon Slayer will be following the next instalment of the series after Mugen Train, the Entertainment District arc. This season will follow Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu as they accompany Hashira Tengen Uzui in search of his missing wives in Yoshiwara.
Demon Slayer is back baby and I’m excited as ever! As a manga reader I am very excited to see the next part of the Demon Slayer series animated in all its glory. It’s been a while since I have read this arc so I’m excited to jump back in to the anime and hopefully see more stunning animated sequences.
Thank you so much for reading! Let me know what you are most excited about for this upcoming season.
Demon Slayer is a definite yes for fall.
Mieruko-chan sounds like it could be a lot of fun or it could fall on its face. I’m hoping for the fun.
